Let The Pie Day Festivities Begin!

Essex Labs was proud to host our site’s Third Annual Pie Day Dessert Competition.  A variety of home-made (and store-bought) dishes went head-to-head for the title of best dessert.

-The Spread: Cream filled sponge cake, Lime Pie, Cinnamon Roll Focaccia, Peach Crisp, Lime Cheesecake, and Blueberry Sponge Delight

That honor was secured by the Cinnamon Roll Focaccia entry!

-Cinnamon Roll Focaccia and Yes, it was made with a Focaccia base with a cinnamon sugar mix gently folded in.

And as tradition dictates, this year’s winner was given the honor of throwing a pie in the face of last year’s victor.

Everyone had a fun time and, perhaps more importantly, no hunger pangs!

-So many things make a prize great. The trash bag cape, the stance of the thrower, and the banana pie.

-Hands clinched in concentration for the final impact.

-As always it was a fantastic ending and Louisa was an excellent sport!
